I am a student of City College in Altamonte Springs. I started the summer quarter in my nursing program in May. Due to the loans and financial aid for this term, I am owed $700 to be sent to me which would be sent to me from City College / Center of Education (headquarters in Brooklyn, NY). I am 10 weeks into my program and still have yet to receive the money owed to me from City College / Center of Education. I’ve called and emailed everyone who keeps giving me the run around for 2 weeks now. I was told they have yet to start processing my refund and the term is almost over. 10 weeks later I still have yet to been given accurate information about my refund. I just submitted a BBB complaint due to the lies I’ve been told by Rebecca in Finances and Alina at the headquarters. Perhaps this is the reason why the school isn’t accepting anymore nursing students.

Don’t waste your money. Signed a current student.

I am about to graduate from the radiologic technology program. I'm glad that I chose city college. My instructor was amazing. She was understanding and I could tell she really cared about us succeeding. The whole team at City College was amazing. They were always available anytime I had a concern or problem. I’ve gone to other schools where I never talked to anyone from admissions and I had to figure everything out myself. This experience has been amazing and I’m truly grateful to have the connections that I have now.

The teachers at the radiology program were great but not the institution as a whole. The campus is shutting down and we aren’t told why they’re shutting down. My money and time has gone to waste and I basically have to start over again because my credits can’t transfer to most colleges.

To whomever this may be useful to,
I attended here 2022-23 for the paramedic program. One of the greatest experiences, with people I will never forget. I drove all the way from Tampa for the quality of education that I had heard about through the grape vine. It was hard and exhausting, but worth it in the end.

There will always be people with issues, but they will always be unhappy with everything and never be able to be pleased. Please do not acknowledge the people who have negative things to say. There will always be bumps in the road and obstacles to overcome. How you overcome them is how you grow as people and and communities.

This school overcomes obstacles with professionalism, patience, and with no judgment. The community that this school creates is a bond that will be with me for a lifetime.

There is one on one instruction, useful and unique teaching techniques, and approachable people. The goal is to be clinicians, not technicians. Human nature not robots. This school does all of these things.

I am currently in the surg tech program and want to expand my career further. I am looking into other schools after I graduate here for a bridge program for RN. I would love to satay within City College because the professors I have had are great. I love that is a small school and not many professors to feel overwhelmed. Hopefully City College will eventually have a bridge program for students

I went back in 2015 for my MA and til this day I can’t get a job in the field as no one will give me the opportunity to get experience. The school promised to help me with job placement and lied about it. I had did my certification for it and everything and have $18k in student loans that I can’t pay as I don’t make the money to pay it back. I am very low income. So I went to school for nothing.

This school and the professors are a blessing to me. I graduated from the nursing program and have just recently passed my NCLEX the first time. Their curriculum is very challenging, but rewarding. The professors are all so amazing….. Professor Maribel Rodriguez and Professor Emy Viera have continuously supported and believed in me throughout my entire journey of nursing school, they are both heaven sent. I love that City College utilizes Kaplan because I believe Kaplan really helped in me passing the NCLEX due to its difficulty of questions. I recommend everyone to attend this nursing program. If I could give this school a 11/10 stars, I would. I’m am so excited to be starting my career as an official RN! ᵕ̈

This team of healthcare educators ensured that my graduating class had the resources they needed to pass the NCLEX. I am eternally grateful for their assistance in helping me achieve my goal of becoming a registered nurse. Thank you all!
