Mrs. Sudha is an amazing dance teacher. I have been going to Thapasya School of Dance for 7 years and it had been a great experience. Mrs. Sudha makes dance enjoyable and I look forward to it every week. My dance skills have improved so much over the years because Mrs. Sudha corrects me when I make mistakes. Her teaching is very effective and I am able dance to the best of my abilities at Thapasya.

I’ve attended dance classes with many different teachers but Ms. Sudha Krishnamurthy is definitely one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. She has hundreds of students and classes one after the other almost every single day, but she still pays attention to every single person and doesn’t take her stress out on us. She’s sufficiently strict but creates a safe and happy environment for us. She takes care of all the costumes and jewellery and gets things done on time. 10/10 class

In my 9 years learning Thapasya - School of Dance, I learned many choreographies from Mrs. Sudha. Her choreographies are beautiful and complex at the same time, giving the student a wonderful time learning and preforming them. She has helped me so much and nurtured me into a great dancer but also a much more disciplined student. Her thorough feedback but display of kindness is what has made my experience here so special. The memories and experiences I had made here are something I’ll never forget. I recommend every student, young or old, to learn from Thapasya and Mrs. Sudha.

I have been a student at Thapasya School of Dance for many years. Sudha Aunty has taught me so much more than dance. She has taught me discipline and hard work which are skills that I can use not only in Bharatanatyam but also my academics and even in college. Although she is strict, Sudha Aunty makes sure you are prepared and confident before you go on stage. My 6-year old daughter just finished her first year in Ms. Sudha's class and she learned a lot and enjoyed it immensely. I was looking for a traditional, classical Indian dance class for my daughter and was so happy a friend recommended Thapasya. Ms. Sudha's classes focus on learning the proper forms and names for each form, which I think is very important for students to learn. The dance recital (Samarparnam) at the end of the year was beautiful and it was very inspiring to see the older students and how skilled they are in their technique. You can tell Ms. Sudha really teaches from her heart and cares for each student and that this is her passion. My daughter can't wait to resume sessions in the fall and her younger sister will join her as well when she is old enough. Can't recommend enough!
